In two easy steps

(Including a plan B)

1) go make some art

2) go make some money

That’s it. You made it. No worrying, no sleepless nights, nothing. You don’t have to work hard, don’t have to wait and be patient (although I would advise you to the opposite). This plan works even without talent or anything. You only need to believe in it and it’s done. Nature, the universe, the god you believe in, they all owe you that, you are entitled to it, so go ahead and just do it.

Just start making some art and then some money. Easy.

Plan B

If above doesn’t work try this

1) go make some money

2) go make some art

Actually Plan B sounds as if it is the „right“ plan because we are talking about MONEY with ART. But no! That’s why so many artists fail at that. Plan B should only be initiated in exceptional situations. Studies have shown that if you make money first you may never find time to do anything else, in a few cases you can’t even find time to live a life and you die making money.  So if you implement plan B make sure to check your progress daily and to schedule time to do some art (among other things)

With plan A you may even get to a position where your art makes money for you (has been reported a few times). So you can ignore the second step in this case and go do something ridiculously funny or excitingly „dumb“ for [2]. But even if not, you’re are better off with plan A in making money with art than with plan B.
